Reno, NV – One Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Red Rock Rd near Moya Blvd

Reno, NV (August 14, 2024) – One person lost their life after a vehicle struck an individual on Red Rock Road in Reno. At approximately 5:00 a.m., on Friday, August 16, the Reno Fire Department responded to the scene of the crash near the intersection of Moya Boulevard. According to reports, a vehicle was headed south when it struck a person who was walking along the side of the road. The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the details of the incident. The road was closed from around 5:00 a.m. to approximately 10:00 a.m. on Friday while emergency responders worked at the scene. Police in Reno continue to investigate the details of the accident.
