Las Vegas, NV – Woman Struck by Vehicle on Ann Rd near Tropic Mist St

Las Vegas, NV (April 10, 2024) – A woman trying to move her broken-down vehicle on a road in northwest Las Vegas was hit and killed by another car, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The wreck happened at approximately 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at the intersection of Ann Road and Tropic Mist Street. According to information provided by investigators, a white Kia Soul was pulled over onto the westbound side of the roadway and a woman was attempting to move the vehicle when other people stopped to help her. At some time during the incident, a 2012 Hyundai Veloster traveling west on Ann collided with the Kia and the woman, causing her to be run over. Police report the woman lost her life at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was identified as a 29-year-old man who showed signs of impairment at the scene.
