Las Vegas, NV – Woman Loses Life in Crash on W Flamingo Rd
Las Vegas, NV (August 24, 2024) – A 28-year-old woman lost her life after she was hit by a truck in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday, August 22.
Information provided by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shows that the wreck occurred near Cameron Street. Officers report the motorcycle was involved in a single-vehicle crash and, shortly afterward, a female rider was walking in the left lanes on Flamingo. While she was doing so, a Dodge Charger struck the female, throwing her onto the roadway, before fleeing the scene. The female, whose name has not been reported, later lost her life due to the extent of her injuries.
Police added that witnesses followed the Dodge from the scene and provided its location to the Metro Police Department, who were then able to locate the driver. Corey Carr, 41, was arrested for DUI and related charges. The incident is currently being investigated.
