Las Vegas Truck Wrecks

Las Vegas, NV - One Killed in Head-On Truck Crash on Hwy 95 near Milepost 22In Nevada, around 2% of reported nationwide truck collisions occur annually. This percentage says that Nevada is among the top 20 states in the nation with the most reported truck collisions per year. These wrecks often end in severe injuries and even fatalities for individuals.

Traffic accidents involving commercial trucks often end in injuries and death for people involved due to the sheer size and weight of semi-trucks when compared with the average passenger vehicles. Large commercial trucks can cause devastating damage when they crash into smaller vehicles. The average 18-wheeler is 20 to 30 times heavier than the average passenger car.

On top of their huge size/weight difference, semi-trucks are often operated by drivers who are overtired and sometimes intoxicated. Unfortunately, truck drivers are forced to work long hours while under strict deadlines, which means that they may be overly tired or engage in unhealthy behavior like drug use to stay awake or continue driving when they are too tired to do so.
