Las Vegas, NV – Motorcyclist Critically Hurt in Wreck on S Eastern Ave near Wigwam Ave

Las Vegas, NV (April 30, 2024) – A motorcycle crash happened in southeast Las Vegas on April 28 that resulted in serious injuries.

Reports show the incident occurred at around 10:48 a.m. on South Eastern Avenue near Wigwam Avenue. A Toyota Sienna was coming out of a private drive onto Eastern Ave when it failed to yield to a 2000 Yamaha V-Star XVS650 headed south. The front end of the motorcycle struck the left front of the Toyota, resulting in critical injuries to the motorcyclist and damage to both vehicles. The motorcycle operator, age 33, was taken to a local hospital where he remains on critical condition. Police said the 72-year-old driver showed signs of impairment at the scene and was booked for charges related to DUI. Police continue to investigate the details of the crash.
