Las Vegas, NV – Man Killed in DUI Accident on Pyle Ave at Las Vegas Blvd

Las Vegas, NV (August 18, 2024) – Las Vegas Metro Police officers reported that a collision early Saturday morning resulted in the death of one man and the arrest of another, which officials suspected was the result of impaired driving.

An abrupt left turn by a Jeep at the intersection of Pyle Avenue in front of another vehicle caused the accident on South Las Vegas Boulevard shortly after midnight on Saturday, according to officials. Per officers at the scene of the incident, the driver of the second vehicle was transported to University Medical Center by medical personnel, where he was declared deceased.

The driver of the Jeep was apprehended on a DUI, resulting in a fatality charge after officials observed that he exhibited signs of impairment. The driver also sustained minor injuries. That said, the incident is still under investigation at this time, and no additional details were released.
