Las Vegas, NV – Man Dies in Wreck on Desert Inn Rd & Lindell Rd

Las Vegas, NV (August 10, 2024) – A 68-year-old man lost his life on Saturday afternoon, August 10, after another driver ran a red light and struck his vehicle. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the man was driving a 1992 Geo Metro through the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Lindell Road on a green light when the crash occurred.

Paramedics transported the victim to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada with substantial injuries. Despite efforts made by medical personnel, he died from his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The driver of the Toyota, identified as Nakira Pray, 27, displayed signs of intoxication at the scene and was arrested. Police in Las Vegas continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
