Las Vegas, NV - Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash on S Sandhill Rd

Las Vegas, NV (April 5, 2024) – Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 5, a crash happened on South Sandhill Road in Las Vegas that left one man with critical injuries. 

 

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently searching for the driver and passenger involved in the hit-and-run accident that left a homeless man with serious injuries. The accident occurred at the intersection with East Hawaii Avenue near Charleston Boulevard. Preliminary reports show the wreck occurred when a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS was headed north on South Sandhill approaching East Hawaii Avenue. The vehicle struck a homeless pedestrian who was asleep inside a makeshift tent on the eastern side of South Sandhill Road. Following the incident, the vehicle stopped at a business nearby where numerous other motorists advised the driver to wait for police to arrive.
