Las Vegas, NV – Man Critically Hurt in hit-and-run Crash on S Sandhill Rd near E Hawaii Ave
Las Vegas, NV (May 9, 2024) – A man was critically injured after being hit by a car in Las Vegas on Sunday morning, May 5. At approximately 1:56 a.m., a man was asleep inside a makeshift tent in a desert area at the intersection of South Sandhill Road and East Hawaii Avenue. A vehicle identified as a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS struck the man after veering off of the road. The man, who sustained critical injuries, was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit. He remains in critical condition at this time. Police continue to investigate the details of the crash.
