Las Vegas, NV – Jade Ashlee Hernandez Killed in Wreck on US-95
Las Vegas, NV (June 17, 2024) – Police in Nevada report that a 29-year-old has been arrested under suspicion of intoxicated driving for an accident that occurred on Sunday, June 9. At around 2:04 a.m., police responded to the scene on the westbound off-ramp of US95 near Lake Mead Boulevard.
Initial reports made by police revealed that a Nissan SUV was occupied by a driver and two passengers while traveling on US-95 in the far right lane. Police say the driver tried to exit onto the off-ramp to State Route 147 when they could not maintain control and exited into an unpaved area on the left side of the road. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving and other charges. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as 27-year-old Jade Ashlee Hernandez from Las Vegas. Hernandez lost her life in the wreck. A second passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate the crash.
