Las Vegas, NV – Fatal Hit & Run Crash on 215 Beltway near I-15

Las Vegas, NV (July 6, 2024) – Nevada State Police are looking for the driver of a Nissan Kicks after a hit-and-run crash on a freeway in Las Vegas. 

State Police report the wreck occurred on the ramp from the westbound 215 beltway to northbound I-15 at around 2:12 a.m. on Friday, July 5. A blue Ford was pulled over onto the right shoulder of the ramp and someone was outside the vehicle trying to fill it up with gas. As the individual was attempting to fuel their vehicle, police reported they were struck by a passing vehicle and fatally hurt. That vehicle did not stop and wait for police or render aid. It was described as a 2018 to 2020 burgundy or red Nissan Kicks. The vehicle may have damage to its right side and may have a broken right front headlight. The right front wheel might be damaged as well. 

At this time, the deceased victim has not been identified. Police in Las Vegas continue to investigate.
