Ely, NV – Four Killed in Crash on US 6 near MP 31

Ely, NV (June 4, 2024) – On May 30, four people lost their lives in a traffic collision that occurred in Ely. Reports from authorities show it occurred just before 11:00 a.m. on US Highway 6 near milepost 31.

The police investigation revealed that a pickup truck hauling a travel trailer was traveling east on Highway 6. At the same time, a recreational vehicle pulling a flatbed trailer was headed west on the highway. The pickup truck’s driver attempted to pass another vehicle and collided with the front of the RV traveling in the westbound lane. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, both vehicles were engulfed in flames. All four victims lost their lives at the scene due to injuries they sustained in the accident. Their identities have not been reported at this time.
