Elko, NV – One Killed, Nine Hurt in Wreck on Hwy 93 near Milepost 14

Elko, NV (May 29, 2024) – One person lost their life after a three-vehicle accident that happened in Elko County. Information provided by the Nevada Highway Patrol shows that the accident happened on Saturday, May 25, at around 11:45 p.m. Reports show a black Ford Expedition was headed south on Highway 93 while a silver Volkswagen Jetta and a red Ford Explorer were headed north. For unknown reasons, the Expedition drove over the center line and collided with the Expedition. A passenger present in the Jetta lost their life due to injuries they sustained in the crash. Their identity has not been reported at this time. Nine other victims were transported to hospitals in Utah and Nevada for treatment. Police in Elko continue to investigate.
