Car Wrecks with Injuries

Car wrecks are one of the main reasons American citizens end up suffering serious injuries or losing their lives, especially people ages 15-20. Each year, more than 6 million car wrecks happen in the US causing around 3 million people to sustain injuries and more than 40,000 to lose their lives. In the state of Nevada alone, over 70,000 auto accidents happen per year that injure tens of thousands of people and take the lives of hundreds. These tragic incidents not only cause injuries but also result in loss of life for tens of thousands of Americans every year.

In Nevada, the death rate related to car wrecks is slightly more than the national average, with 10.10 deaths per 100,000 residents compared to 11.78 nationwide. In 2022, nearly 400 people lost their lives in auto accidents in the state of Nevada. Across the nation, over 17,000 traffic accidents happen each day that injure around 7,500 people and take the lives of about 100.

Those who are victimized in traffic accidents usually find themselves stuck in the hospital where they must face overwhelming and expensive medical care. On average, the cost of recovering from a serious car crash injury can range in the tens of thousands of dollars. This is an expense that the average American citizen will have trouble affording. Additionally, having to spend prolonged time in the hospital can keep you from earning a paycheck or seeing your loved ones which can be extremely stressful and overwhelming.
