Las Vegas, NV (August 12, 2024) – Police in Las Vegas are currently investigating a car crash involving a patrol vehicle. Reports show it occurred on Saturday, August 10, just before 2:00 p.m. LVMPD received calls concerning a two-car wreck that involved a police vehicle and an SUV at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and University Center Drive. A police officer was transported to the hospital with injuries, sources said. Currently, the wreck is being investigated by area law enforcement officials. Local motorists were asked to avoid the Desert Inn Road and University Center Drive intersection while emergency responders were present. Police continue to investigate.
